Do something different! Apple is looking for a creative and self-driven display module integration engineer to help define and deliver new display technologies for Apple’s next gen products. A successful candidate will not only need to demonstrate world-class technical skills, but also excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various Apple internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
In this role, you will help define the path to integrate key display technologies and drive the display module development, in collaboration with cross-functional partners, from prototype to mass production. This position gives you high-visibility to key HW and display features needed to deliver world-class front-of-screen experience for Apple’s next gen products.
Key Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Module design and integration OR display/system architecture OR optical characterization, silicon metrology, data analysis OR numerical modeling, prototype development
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Display technologies (DLP, µLED, LCOS µOLED) OR data acquisition and automation using test equipment OR SW/algorithm development, programming (Python, C++, Matlab) OR image/signal processing, display pipeline
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Description
• Define display module requirements, prototype and validation strategies
• Support daily activities for build execution, bring up, build data analysis, module FA and system integration
• Drive technical discussions with vendors and internal cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define display module test and calibration requirements
• Promote innovation and new technology to enhance Apple’s display performance and user experience
• Develop prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions and conduct detailed tradeoff analysis
• Effectively communicate the advantages, disadvantages and risks to the broader team
Education & Experience
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Optics, EECS, Physics or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in related field
