Do you have a passion for computer vision and deep learning problems? The Data Analytics and Quality (DAQ) Team in Video Engineering is looking for a data scientist with a strong emphasis on deep system understanding through data analysis. Our data scientist will work closely with multiple teams (data collection, machine learning, quality assurance, infrastructure support, user studies) to implement model evaluation pipeline, analyze large scale data to help influence product decision and improve product quality. This position will require strong analytical and coding skills, presentation skills, and collaborating with multiple teams. You will get to work on computer vision products like FaceID and exciting future technologies.

Key Qualifications

  • Solid background in Data science, Data mining, Multivariate statistics, Computer vision or Machine learning
  • Experience in building datasets for computer vision or Image/Signal Processing tasks
  • Solid programming skills with Python for data processing and development
  • Experienced with data visualization (e.g. matplotlib/ggplot/tableau)
  • Experience within depth failure analysis in large and messy data, identify targets for performance
  • Experience with big data tools such as presto
  • Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills and experience in influencing decisions with information

Analyze Data Deep-dive Failure Analysis to provide new points of view Discovering perspectives from old data Leading reciprocal efforts across multiple teams Build Tools for Analyzing and Visualizing Data Produce data visualizations to communicate up and across the company Design of Experiment (DOE) for engineering studies and large-scale user studies Conduct/Support data collection and analysis with other groups Help define feature specs and expected user experience based on data

Education & Experience

PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Mathematics, or similar

Additional Requirements

  • 3D computer vision or cloud infrastructure experience is a plus
  • Industry experience in large scale data analytics is strongly desired
