The Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for an Experience Prototyper to help us shape the next generation of interactive applications for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies, including augmented reality, virtual reality, machine learning, and computer vision. As a member of our organization, you will help craft future products that will delight, inspire ,and empower millions of people.

- Proven experience building prototypes using Xcode, Swift, ARKit, RealityKit, or similar frameworks
- Strong grasp of the concepts of 3d computer graphics including geometric models, shaders, and coordinate spaces
- Portfolio of work demonstrating an ability to solve complex design problems and turn them in to innovative products and prototypes
- Ability to communicate visually using sketches, storyboards, and design decks
- Strong communication skills; an ability to converse fluidly with both artists and engineers in language they understand and respond to
- Experience working with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts
- Demonstrated track record of bending tools and APIs to create novel experiences
- At least 4 years of design specific experience

You should have the ability to leverage both engineering and creative skills, and will collaborate with artists and engineers to create new user experiences that surprise and delight. You need to be great at thinking about the big picture as well as creating detailed designs. You should love doing both. The ideal candidate knows how to tackle complex challenges, break them down in to actionable items, and iterate relentlessly until the best ideas shine through.
Education & Experience
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Game Design, Film, or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Ability to code using Swift, Python, C++, or equivalent
- Experience shipping consumer or enterprise products
- At least 4 years of design specific experience
- Strong interpersonal and inspirational skills
- Experience with any of the following: VR, AR, game design, art direction, and video storytelling
- Proficiency with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and game engines such as Unity or Unreal
- Strong 3D design and motion design skills; experience with Houdini, Maya, C4D, Final Cut Pro, AE, and similar is preferred
