We are looking for a passionate and innovative ASIC silicon architect to join our team and help us design and develop state-of-the-art driving and sensing solutions for Camera applications. As a silicon architect, you will be responsible for: • Defining the silicon architecture and specification based on product requirements and use cases • Collaborating with other architects, designers, and verification teams to ensure high-quality design and implementation • Optimizing power and performance across technical, product, and usage constraints • Conducting feasibility studies, trade-off analysis, simulations, and prototyping • Evaluating new silicon technologies that enable camera features • Providing technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders In this role, the candidate will be exposed to a fast-paced yet exciting development environment for next-gen products challenging them to apply and advance their fundamental knowledge of physics, electrical engineering and signal processing to system architecture, mixed signal IC development and system integration of the ICs.

Key Qualifications

  • This role requires broad EE, fundamental physics and signal processing skills and offers a mixture of system architecture, chip level circuit design and board level circuit design.
  • This role is ideal for a candidate with sharp problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with a passion and drive to go above and beyond to accomplish objectives and with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills including experience in defining, developing and analyzing results of experiments to root-cause challenging electrical problems at IC and at system level.
  • Role requires the candidate to have ability to function independently and be comfortable to deal with ill-defined problems, develop understanding and bounds of the problem and propose solutions.
  • Additional desired skills:
  • Complex analog/mixed signal IC development management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with entire IC development such as validation, test and qualification all the way to large volume production ramp-up is a plus.
  • Experience in the fields of autofocus and optical stabilizations (AF/OIS) drivers, sensing and controls, Voice coil motor (VCM) drivers and optical sensing systems and silicon is a plus.
  • Experience in the fields of drivers for VCSELs and LEDs for IR illumination and depth systems is a plus.
  • Experience in developing parts with embedded microcontrollers or developing solutions with external microcontrollers and accompanied FW is a plus.
  • Understanding embedded FW, programming and host SW interaction is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in silicon design and development is a plus.

Description

• Technical interaction with cross-functional teams including image sensors, camera systems, mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test and engineers to define key features of our IR and RGB camera systems and develop custom silicon specifications to enable those features. • Developing prototypes for proof of concept for next-gen camera features including emulation platform based on discrete components, MCU and FPGA • Providing IC specific and broad electrical engineering support to camera HW and cross functional teams. Reviewing and providing guidance for board level design including associated components selection, signal routing and power supply network design • Reviewing and providing guidance on validation plans and results

Education & Experience

Education: Preferred MS, or Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering Additional requirements: Some travel may be required
