The Services External Marketing team at Apple is responsible for cultivating awareness and education of Apple's full suite of services and driving new customer acquisition through various marketing channels. Our rapidly growing team is looking for a Strategic Planning Lead across Apple's entertainment and sports properties to join the Services Marketing team. In this role, you will collaborate with business and marketing leads, media teams, creative strategists, analytics, and data personnel to build data-informed recommendations and campaigns.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience as a communications strategist or media planner with 3 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Confident leading strategic conversations and building relationships with cross-functional teams, including business leads, data science teams, and creative partners
  • Proven ability to use data and insights to build audience profiles, create clear communication plans, and develop channel level marketing strategies that tie back to business objectives
  • Familiarity with traditional media channels, digital advertising and social media platforms and their relationship with each other in multifaceted campaigns
  • Track record of measuring impact through different testing and measurement solutions with the ability to also share results and future recommendations in a digestible way
  • Proficiency working within syndicated research sources (MRI/ Simmons, Comscore, etc.) and social listening tools
  • Ability to work autonomously with agility, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills to all levels of an organization
  • Previous marketing experience for a Major Sports League or Sports media preferred, additional entertainment/ streaming services marketing a plus

Description

In this position, you will manage a team of experienced strategy leads responsible for developing and executing clear marketing strategies for sports and entertainment properties at Apple. You and your team will manage brand awareness campaigns, social content, performance channels, and customer acquisition efforts. As a manager, you will play an active role in the development of your team members, helping them to grow their careers at Apple. You will position yourself as the strategic leader for collaborative partners and provide direction on how to allocate budgets and optimize different marketing channels effectively. You will provide actionable insights and recommendations on how best to pair messaging and media to reach target audiences. Your ability to communicate challenges, resolve solutions, and share recommendations and perspectives will be integral to the team’s success in a constantly evolving environment!
