Apple’s Environmental Technologies group is seeking a seasoned compliance program manager to drive the development and utilization of data collection and analytics systems to document and enable efficient, effective, and scalable product environmental compliance management processes in support of product managers & cross-functional partners. You will also lead the global team of contractors responsible for execution of Apple’s world-class Full Material Disclosure (FMD) program to support achievement of Apple’s environmental goals.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of proven experience in electronic product manufacturing and environmental compliance management systems
  • Experience collecting environmental data and documentation from global consumer electronics supply chains to support compliance with electronic product regulations (e.g. RoHS, REACH) and standards (eg IPC-1752/1753, IEC 62474)
  • Demonstrated success in supplier engagements to support compliance, including development and effective delivery of supplier training programs
  • Experience working with distributed multi-functional teams in product design and engineering, procurement, commodity management, and operations
  • Proficiency in project management – leading, organizing, and driving work you're doing of complex projects with tight timelines
  • Experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) tools with deep understanding of manufacturing principles, practices, concepts, and terms
  • Experience developing reporting and analytics to support business decisions
  • Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement, effective use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Comfortable in environments that depend on influence to drive outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal with diverse audiences from working to executive levels
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments where attention to detail is required

Description

This position is offered in Apple’s Environmental Technologies group within Apple’s Hardware Engineering division. Our mission is to deliver world-leading programs to address the impacts of climate change, conserve resources, and drive Smarter Chemistry. In this role, you will lead the operation of Apple’s Full Material Disclosure (FMD) Program. The FMD Program is foundational to achievement and demonstration of Apple’s Smarter Chemistry goals including driving adoption of safer materials. You will drive the collection of environmental compliance information from Apple’s manufacturing partners and supply chain, as an essential element for compliance with Apple’s Regulated Substances Specification and to enable substance phase-out initiatives. You will routinely work with internal partners in environmental, product design and engineering, global supply management, procurement and operations teams, in a matrixed organization to drive demonstrated results. You will lead a team of globally dispersed managed services personnel to collect, analyze, and report environmental compliance information and documentation used to ensure compliance with Apple environmental requirements. You will be responsible for developing execution strategy and plans, demonstrating success through reporting and analytics, process and procedure definition and documentation, business requirement definition for systems, and continuous improvement. Education & Experience

Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, or a related field preferred
