  • Ability to learn GD&T and JMP Analysis Statistic/Statistical Acumen is a plus
  • Proficiency in using Keynote, Excel, PowerPoint Frequent travel domestically to vendor sites (i.e. Beijing)
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a constantly evolving environment

Description

- Prior experience in product design (preferably consumer electronics). - Experience with component modules and processes (i.e. FPC assemblies, Die-cut, Molding, Stamping, Plating, Cable bundle, batteries, etc.) and their interconnect (ACP bonding, RF and Crimping, etc) - Ability in plastic and metal part processes and manufacturing - 3D CAD skills or know-how - Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing - Integration of antenna module (Wifi, BT, UWB, etc) into mechanical enclosures - Support manufacturing concepts to lead all aspects of the development of specific Process Management Plans (PMP) appropriate to the program - Help in evaluating and communicating the yield of new and existing programs - Work with internal and external groups to ensure that accurate definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product - Drive corrective actions multi-functionally with internal and external team members - Support in evaluating supplier readiness and consistency to PMP at all development and qualification stages. - Help on ensuring suppliers adhere to technical and quality requirements to establish and validate (applying statistical tools) process capability, incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control to Apple standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test and requirements.

Education & Experience

- Pursuing a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar degree - Additionally required to return to school after the internship to continue or complete your education, or an internship needs to be required for graduation from your school - Antenna or RF knowledge/courses (major) are extraordinary to have
