We are pursuing ground-breaking fundamental research to ship features that enrich the lives of our customers - such as Persona in Vision Pro, Portrait mode, FaceTime Eye Contact, ARKit, Memoji. We are looking for an exceptional Machine Learning engineer with a strong focus on quality evaluation and metrics design. You will be working in a diverse, fast moving team in Zurich, Switzerland, and interact with teams around the globe.
Key Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of Machine Learning principles
- In-depth understanding of Image Processing, 3D Geometry and Computer Vision
- Experience in Python, deep learning and data analysis frameworks (PyTorch, pandas, and similar)
- Experience in working on large scale projects with good software development principles
- Scientific mindset and data-driven approach to problem solving
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- Willingness to pick up novel tasks and acquire new skills
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
Description
You will be working on next generation video and image analysis/synthesis projects in our Machine Learning and Computer Vision research and development team in Zurich, Switzerland, combining modern Machine Learning approaches with geometric knowledge from Computer Vision. As a member of the algorithm development team, your objective is to accelerate our development cycle through the design of innovative tools to monitor and improve the quality of our models.
This includes the development of key performance indicators, devising methods to automatically find anomalies and failure cases in algorithm outputs, utilizing data quality contractors, and leveraging large-scale data collection and labeling efforts, all while closely collaborating with our in-house Quality Assurance teams.
Education & Experience
PhD or Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Data Science or equivalent. If this is you, we'd love to hear from you.
