You’ll design, develop, and patent the next generation of our state-of-the art connectivity technologies. You’ll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and iOS SW features.

Key Qualifications

  • - Proven understanding of wireless communication and Wireless Standards (5GNR, LTE, 802.11)
  • - Experience with programming languages in C/C++, Python and good familiarity with various AI/ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax…)
  • - Experience in simulation and modeling work in organizations such as IEEE and/or 3GPP
  • - Experience in solving interdisciplinary problems via Machine Learning (ML) and experience in training AI/ML models/agents in simulation
  • - Familiarity with Deep Reinforcement Learning, Sequence Learning Models, Transfer Learning, Generative Neural Network, Graph Neural Network, CNN, RNN is desirable
  • - Passion for building highly reusable software models, writing clear and readable code, performing code reviews and supplying towards a CI/CD infrastructure

Description

In this team, we are working on influencing the definition of next generation wireless systems/standards in terms of system concepts and network architecture! As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with different technical teams to define wireless and network features, help drive external infrastructure vendors and carriers to full feature realization! Partnering with other passionate engineers you'll define problem statements, design AI/ML-based data-driven learning solutions, training AIML agent offline and online, assessing the system-level performance, and researching innovative ideas & solutions. Most importantly, you'll be part of building intellectual property and participating in industry/academic research projects as well as contributing to our simulator/emulator framework. Day to day, you'll analyze system constraints and requirements based on both wireless connectivity standards and product requirements, to set system performance targets for wireless products. There is also the opportunity to define innovations and technical contributions in different areas of the cellular system (L1/L2/L3) and network architecture. Education & Experience

Masters or PhD in Computer Science preferred
