In this role you will be responsible for the bringup and integration infrastructure for the PHY/Radio and executing the PHY and radio level characterization on internal silicon solution from chip back until shipping in your favorite Apple products

Key Qualifications

  • Basic Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, LTE/WCDMA/GSM, or 802.11ad/ay.
  • Understanding communication theory and key Tx/Rx metrics like EVM and sensitivity.
  • Experience in developing test and debug infrastructure for bring-up, integration, characterization, and debug of real wireless silicon in a lab.
  • Experience using wireless/RF test equipment such as signal analyzer, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Experience developing test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.
  • Strong Experience with Python, Matlab, Perl, Javascript, C/C++, or C#

Description

In this individual technical contributor role you will be responsible for automation development and characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products. You will develop the bringup infrastructure at the center of a silicon design group as well as the characterization, regression, and reporting framework. This will include designing and implementing a Python-based bringup, integration, and debug environment; designing and implementing a Python-based characterization, regression, and reporting framework. As an owner of the silicon performance infrastructure you will be key in making sure that Apple products exceed expectations.

Education & Experience

BS+ 3 years of relevant experience.
