You’ll collaborate across departments to help craft wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products and services. Apple’s Wireless Software Architecture team is seeking talented, highly motivated and self-directed engineers to work across layers on cutting edge wireless cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core wireless technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines.

Key Qualifications

  • 3- 5 years minimum of hands on experience in wireless protocol software development/system engineering
  • Strong Software Engineering skills including design, programming (C or C++, script) and debugging
  • Strong 3GPP specification knowledge on Access Stratum protocols
  • Design and development experience of cellular protocol features for consumer products a plus
  • Development experiences with real-time operating systems
  • Proven debugging skills for embedded system software products
  • Obsessively passionate and inquisitive with a focus on solving everyday problems in innovative ways
  • Attention to the smallest details that are meaningful to customers
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch and other wireless product lines. This team takes pride in not just coming up with proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem. We do whatever it takes to bring user experience to the next level. Our members enjoy the flexibility to work on all aspects of Cellular Protocol software - SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces, to come up with the best possible solution for any given problem. Education & Experience

Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications or equivalent majors.

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
