Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years work experience with design, development, and/or testing of control systems in electromechanical features or products
  • Skilled in the development, theory, design, modeling and implementation of motion control algorithms, electric motors, and support power electronics with emphasis on servo control and actuation systems
  • Experienced in state-space design, traditional controls methods (PID, observer/compensator) and modern control techniques such as MPC/LQR
  • Experience in both linear and non-linear estimation
  • Strong in data analytics, root cause analysis with emphasis on data introspection
  • Proficiency with source control (eg. Git) on multi-developer projects
  • Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems
  • Experience in motor control algorithms related to field oriented control (FOC) of motors is a plus
  • Hands-on experience prototyping control algorithms and demonstrating capability at an executive level in rapid prototyping for actuated systems

Description

We are seeking an experienced, technical, detail-oriented Control Systems Engineer to push the performance bounds of actuated systems. In this role you will be responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and productization of complex control algorithms utilized by the electromechanical assemblies in future generation spatial computing products.

Education & Experience

BS or MS in ME, Mechatronics, CS, or Engineering + minimum of 5 years of industry experience
