Key Qualifications

  • Supply chain planning or operations experience related to development and optimization of NPI capacity needs. Industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with scenario planning and serving as business point of contact for data intensive work-streams spanning multiple cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing day-to-day calls and relationships with OEMs tied to supplier capabilities and recommending different sets of solutions
  • Self starter with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and VBA skills (Python is a plus)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience

Description

The iPhone NPI Capacity Program Management team is a high impact team that provides leaders critical insights that drive decision-making and execution for Apple's largest business. The team works on critical projects such as defining iPhone sourcing strategy, providing guidance for NPI launch volume and influencing NPI capital expenditure planning. On a day to day basis the team plays a meaningful role in defining and driving strategic and operational priorities as well as improvements across the iPhone organization. Individuals on this team are analytically savvy, adept at ambiguous problem solving and have a commitment to engage and seek maximum impact. The main work streams include: Strategic Planning, Execution and Reporting - Strategic Planning: Review long-term requirements for iPhone manufacturing and devise scenarios and tradeoff analyses that optimize conflicting priorities. Quantify manufacturing capacity needs for the complete product portfolio, determine business allocation between contract manufacturers, drive cross-functional agreement and recommend strategies that mitigate risk across different business functions. - Execution: Engage with cross-functional partners such as OEMs and Product Operations to deliver internal simulations that enable seamless flow across EOL/NPI products and define launch volumes. This includes close coordination with Supply Chain Planning and the Procurement organization to provide a unified picture of iPhone supply. Successful candidates exemplify concise written and verbal communication skills. - Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting tools and data streams for all factory operations, providing easy data access to enable historical data analyses, and publish insights generated from various metrics to executive management.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Operations, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related field. Post-grad degree in engineering or economics preferred.
