In this role, you will join the system engineering team working on best-in-class modem platforms, developing innovative algorithms and leveraging our unique end-to-end design.

Key Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems with hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization. Experience with wireless and/or cellular communication standards is a plus (specially on 5G NR).
  • Deep-knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing will be essential for this role to design algorithms related to channel state feedback, digital precoding and analog beamforming, link adaptation, channel estimation, interference mitigation, MIMO detection, multi-user MIMO, timing and frequency recovery, automatic gain control, RF impairments estimation and correction, forward-error correction, OFDM, etc.
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development, modeling (floating-point and fixed-point) and link-level simulation.
  • Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, filter design, machine learning, etc.)
  • Experience in PPA (power/performance/area) optimization including complexity analysis, mapping to vector signal processors, memory and MIPS estimation, real-time vs non-real time partition, interface definition, RF and BB power saving options.
  • Experience in chip bring-up including analysis of UE and/or test equipment logs, being familiar with relevant KPI metrics (UDP/TCP DL/UL Throughput, E2E latency, call establishment, call retention, audio quality metrics such as POLQA, etc.).

Description

•Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms. •Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable RTL development. •Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with optimal PPA (performance/power/area) trade-off. •Work with verification teams to define functional and performance test plans, and support the silicon bring-up. •Contribute to productization efforts through trouble-shooting of issues found in lab and field, and algorithm optimization using data from real-life use cases.
