Key Qualifications

3+ years of experience across the following:
Coding skills in C++ and Python
Familiarity With Video Codecs (H.264/HEVC/AV1)
Subjective and Objective Video Quality Metrics
Hands on experience with tuning video encoding parameters to balance bitrate, performance and quality
Experience building Real-Time Video Quality Measurement Tools
Understanding of HLS Media Streaming would be a Plus

Description

Our team is challenged to push the capabilities of modern hardware to the limit in order to achieve incredible goals. You will work in a team of engineers to add new backend encoding and quality measurement capabilities. You will be developing services focused on Immersive Content. With your skills in analyzing video quality, you will be able to influence video encoding workflows and in turn help with delivering best quality immersive videos to our customers. BSCS or comparable degree and/or relevant experience

- Typescript is a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500.00 and $243,300.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
