We are looking for a high-energy and self-motivated Data Center Engineer to lead projects and guide cross-functional teams to meet design requirements along with scheduling goals. A Data Center Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with our Data Center Electrical Engineers to improve electrical layouts within our white spaces. The Data Center Infrastructure team plays a crucial role in supporting our Real Estate & Development, Operational and Business teams across the Globe. Essential travel to remote sites to ensure project milestones are met is required.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Structured Cabling Infrastructure (OSP/ISP)
  • Experience working with low voltage power
  • Extensive Knowledge of AutoCAD Software
  • Project Management Experience is a Plus
  • Understanding of Telecommunications Infrastructure Standards
  • Knowledge of Data Centers
  • Strong Understanding of Network Environments
  • Able to make independent decisions that align with Apple standards
  • Excellent Organizational, Written and Verbal Communications Skills

Description

We are looking for a strong, enthusiastic Engineer that has extensive knowledge in Electrical and Data Center Designs to join our Infrastructure Engineering Team. This individual will work closely with our General Contractors (GC) and internal Engineering teams to update AutoCAD drawings and specifications of products we use within our spaces. This individual will also ensure electrical and structured cabling diversity is captured throughout our campuses. You will also create structured cabling packages and ensure implementation of our designs. In addition, you will provide project timelines and update reports to internal & external stakeholders. These designs will be implemented using Telecommunications and Electrical Standards. Traditionally, most of our designs/infrastructure are within Data Center campuses; having a knowledge of data center environments will help you be more successful in this position. Being hard-working is a must along with the ability to work across multiple engineering teams. We work closely with our Network Architects through different stages of the construction process to understand their structured cabling and electrical requirements. You will also engage with Operational teams that include Site Services and Facility Engineers to review documentation handovers. You will be responsible for gathering any information needed to update our asset management tools. Additionally, this person will work closely with external vendors & suppliers to meet our demand which includes product availability, product changes and ensuring quotes are submitted and supplies are accounted for. Traveling is required to check-in on project(s) and ensure statement of work is implemented as proposed. This includes International travel to work with various colocation vendors across the globe.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Construction Management (preferred) or equivalent experience
