Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Data Analysis in an Industrial Engineering Environment, Helpful to have high tech manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, NPI or Operations Research experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivots, vlookups, and conditional formatting
  • Advanced Python and Tableau knowledge - able to create and deploy analytical tools and data visualizations that help teams drive action
  • Knowledge of emerging concepts like machine learning and predictive analytics (Deep Learning, Python, R, Neural Networks, applied Data Science) a strong plus
  • Proven relationship building skills and ability to effectively influence peers and management
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing principles, factory operations, and cost optimization
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25%

Description

Apple’s CapEx Early Engagement Team sits at a unique intersection of manufacturing, engineering, and finance – allowing individuals broad insight into the launch of new products. We play a critical role in finding ways to optimize the manufacturing process by identifying and implementing better ways of designing, managing and buying the equipment used in the manufacturing of our products. This role will help to build tools that enable the Operations team to make strategic capital investment decisions by leveraging insights from complex engineering and manufacturing data. You will partner with various functional teams ranging from engineering to procurement to influence opportunities to find the most cost effective ways to build and test Apple's new products. -Design data schema and collection methodologies -Build and create data optimization models for manufacturing use cases -Analyze large set of data to identify operational metrics and opportunities to improve factory efficiency, workflow, machine performance as well as calculating financial performance metrics such as ROI, payback, etc. -Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and effectively partner with cross functional teams to build technical designs -Drive technical solutions through effective partnership with stakeholders across engineering, operations and procurement -Process and visualize data using Tableau and Python

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in an Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or allied engineering field. Masters or MBA are considered a plus.
