The BPR Insight team is looking for a dedicated Engineering Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of manufacturing software products. In this role, you will contribute to Apple’s manufacturing strategy by leading and executing complex and innovative software projects.

Description

Collaborate with engineers, dev ops, production support, UX designers, and data scientists to deliver strategic products & features by defining technical solutions, determining technical feasibility, defining high-level LOEs, and proposing project release plans. Engage with stakeholders, business users, and product managers to understand the business case to define release requirements, translate business requirements into technical requirements, and define project scope. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones. Take ownership of project outcomes, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks that may occur during software development, analyze the impacts on the project, and create risk mitigation plans. Conduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to drive continuous improvement. Navigate complex project requirements and constraints with agility and strategic thinking. Adapt to changing priorities and demands, maintaining focus on project objectives. Utilize advanced project management tools and methodologies to manage the project through the entire soft development lifecycle, and break down technical work plans into phases, sprints, releases, etc. Define the testing approach and drive test execution: unit testing, integration testing, test automation, regression testing, and performance/scale testing. Seamlessly transition the project to sustaining operations. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments to ensure alignment and collaboration. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting trust and collaboration. Resolve conflicts and manage team dynamics to ensure smooth project progression.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer software, software engineering, management information, or other computer-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Project / Program Manager or Engineering Manager, with an emphasis on high-quality software.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts, data-focused ecosystems, technical platforms, and the engineering cycle.

  • Experience in enterprise architecture and solution design.
  • Relevant project management certifications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain concepts (e.g. yield, process design, quality analysis)
  • Able to evaluate and refine engineering project proposals.
  • Master’s degree in computer software, software engineering, management information, or other computer-related field is a plus.
