The Growth Marketing Operations Team plays a key role in enabling on-device communications and automated messaging for Apple’s media products and services. This team focuses on the timely delivery, strategy, and execution of in-app messaging sent to millions of users across multiple Apple services, including: Apple TV+, Music, Arcade, App Store, and Apple One. Apple is seeking a data solutions engineer who is passionate about motivating change through the intersection of marketing and technology. As a Data Solutions Lead for the Growth Marketing Operations team, you will design, develop, and work on data solutions to support Growth initiatives for Apple Media Products and Services. This role will help scale our data signals program and closely partner with engineering teams across Apple. You will work across several lines of business and stakeholder teams to help optimize the delivery of data signals, data validation, and documentation. Description

The Data Solutions Engineer will leverage Apple’s data assets to enable our marketers to make decisions that reach the right users at the right time. Some of the initiatives we work on include data architecture, use case validation, and data privacy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: translating business problems into data initiatives, presenting solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, creating systems to monitor data usage in our marketing journeys, and helping scale data solutions globally across multiple Apple services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including designing and researching technical solutions for new data pipelines
  • Bachelor’s, advanced degree or equivalent education in a technical or related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience converting business needs into functional design
  • An innovative mindset and a proven track record of shifting and adapting to new technologies
  • High proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Teradata, any other DB).
  • High proficiency in Python and RestAPIs.
  • Excellent debugging and documentation experience, particularly with iOS apps
  • Ability to analyze current architecture and develop steps and processes to improve upon it
  • Good understanding of database modeling, ETL and data warehousing principles
  • Experience working with privacy and compliance engineering teams, to ensure data and systems are in compliance
  • Excellent communication skills; experience working with cross functional teams, discussing technical design, back-end architecture, and data pipelines.

  • Experience in Tableau or similar Data Visualization tools
  • Experience developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Ability to prioritize and succeed under rapidly changing, time-constrained schedules
  • Curious mindset with an ability to condense complex concepts into clear and concise action items
  • Experience in working in a global organization
