As a Cellular Modem RF Firmware & System Integration Engineering Program Manager, you will be at the heart of our ground-breaking cellular modems to meet performance, quality and schedule requirements for Apple products. This role demands excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally within a dynamic engineering environment. Partnering with engineers and managers from our RF Firmware and validation engineering teams, will be key to your success in this role. You will deliver executive communication and presentations to support the decision-making process, clearly and effectively communicate overall program status, while identifying and resolving key bottlenecks and interdependencies of sophisticated RF projects. Ideally, you will also have validated project management experience in some aspect of RF Firmware development, integration, pre / post-silicon RF verification, and cellular RF features.

Description

- Own the development and system integration of Cellular RF Firmware running on the RF transceiver to control digital & analog IP in non-signaling and real-time full signaling mode. - Align and track cross-functionally the execution of Cellular RF Firmware plans across project phases from concept definition, implementation and pre-silicon validation to feature bring-up on silicon. - Manage productization of RF Firmware through cellular modem system testing, field and interoperability testing till production ramp. - Drive and report RF Firmware activities for development, validation, non-regression testing, release management, improvements and defect resolution. - Anticipate risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution. - Deliver presentations supporting executive reviews including project status, key metrics, top risks and issues.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and 10+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability with a track record of hands-on engineering management / leadership or project / program management.
  • Relevant proven experience in wireless modem RF SW/FW development & integration and/or RF verification.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of development lifecycle for embedded software.
  • Knowledge of cellular modem FR1 and FR2 RF line ups and modem software layers.
  • Good understanding of RF transceiver and RF front end components for cellular modems.
  • Knowledge of RF cellular major features, real-time requirements and associated challenges.
  • Experience in RF system integration into cellular modem managing the dependencies through different project phases.
  • Experience in FR2 mmW is considered a significant plus.
  • Ability to quickly establish and manage sophisticated multi-functional relationships in a dynamic engineering environment.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to lead technical teams and multi-functional groups following well established plans and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at senior management level including strong presentation skills.
