Description

We are seeking hardworking engineers who have passion on HW, you will be: - Owning aspects of system HW development from HW design to build in the factory, like PCB/flex design, crafting optimized system validation plans. - Owning manufacturing test requirements, prototype bringup and testing, data analysis and issue debug. Working with manufacturing factory's EE team on tool design, testing, failure analysis, validation and other HW related cross team support. - Traveling to factories in other cities and countries might be needed. Besides, you will have the chance to influence future AirPods architectures based on your learnings from successfully implementing programs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years relevant proven experience in designing electronics and/or embedded systems, or fresh graduate worked as key contributor on HW projects in university
  • Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals (analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping, bring-up, debug and validation
  • Comfortable in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, etc.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high volume products / consumer electronics from proof of concept to mass production; prior experience in working with contract manufacturers highly desirable
  • Expertise in board and flex designs including schematic and layout with strong abilities to implement to a timeline and deliver high quality designs
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: CPU/SOC, power(DC-DC converters, battery, power management, low power design), inductive power, analog circuits, audio, RF integration and measurement, sensor design and integration, ESD safety
  • Design validation including bench analysis for proving performance to factory test for guaranteeing quality
  • Experience working with mechanical design, software, reliability, manufacturing, and operations organizations is desirable
  • Experience with complicated and multi-disciplinary failure analysis
  • Python/scripting experience
  • Excellent written skills for reporting of data analysis&conclusions
