We are searching for dedicated, hardworking electrical engineers in SoC technology to provide test, validation, failure analysis and manufacturing support to our product. Our products are on the groundbreaking in every way: usability, integration, connectivity, power consumption, fabrication, reliability, manufacturing scale. The candidate will play a meaningful role in the development of Apple products, collaborating with multi-functional design team in the process.

Description

- Lead SoC validation process in factory by collaborating with multi-functional system and silicon teams to define the test coverage and bring up hardware/software testing environment. - Drive SoC defect failure analysis and upstream coverage improvement, hands-on involvement in SoC bring up, issue debugging and data reporting. - Drive board and system level design validation as well by using SoC testing concept and methodology. - Play as SoC expert in EE team to drive SoC power, performance, thermal control optimization at system level. - Play a key role in all stages of the project lifecycle, from proof of concept to mass production.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Good EE fundamentals in electrical components' selection, basic DC-DC converter and power integrity knowledge.
  • Familiar with EE lab equipments including DMM, Oscilloscope to measure SoC power rail voltage/current and troubleshoot basic power delivery problems.
  • Hands-on experience in SoC bring-up at system level, testing, and debugging.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in post-silicon bring up and validation process including power, performance, thermal, etc. Familiar with silicon ATE screening, power binning, frequency-power-thermal-yield bounding box definition and challenges.
  • Expertise in mobile SoC/DRAM architecture/power/performance and thermal characterization at the system level.
  • Experience with SoC/DRAM performance and stability stressing test suite development and scripting, validation data post processing and visualization is a plus.
  • Familiar with discrete DC-DC design and power management ICs (PMICs) on portable products. Knowledge of low speed communication bus on PMIC including SPMI and I2C, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug interface issues.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration spirit to drive test coverage enhancement, silicon and system level failure analysis.
