Apple’s Cellular Software team is seeking talented, highly motivated, and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solve everyday problems for customers using iPhone, iPad, Watch, and other wireless product lines. We are passionate about keeping our users connected 24/7 wherever they go. This team takes pride in not just coming up with proven software designs but also in disrupting traditional models of the cellular ecosystem. We do whatever it takes to bring user experience to the next level. Our members enjoy the flexibility to work on all aspects of Cellular Protocol software - Data Path, SIM, NAS, AS, and iOS interfaces, to come up with the best possible solution for any given problem. Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless communication, or equivalent
  • Strong programming skills in C or C++
  • Basic understanding of 3GPP Specifications

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of NR/LTE Data plane protocols (PDCP/RLC/MAC/SDAP)
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end data plane protocols from the application layer to L4 (TCP/IP) to cellular data-lane layers
  • Being comfortable in debugging complex embedded systems and cellular issues is desired and will help the candidate excel in this role.
  • Obsessively passionate and inquisitive with a focus on solving everyday problems in innovative ways.
  • Laser-focused on the smallest details to ensure perfection, hardworking, excellent communication, and documentation skills are a key set of requirements to excel in this job.
  • Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless communication, or equivalent
