We live in a world where knowledge of the physical world around us is undeniably critical. We rely on this knowledge to get around, explore, and interact with devices around us. Apple is meeting those needs as robustly and creatively as possible and is interested in people who want to help meet that commitment. The success we strive for will result from very skilled people working in an environment that cultivates creativity, partnership, and thinking of old problems in new ways. If that sounds like the kind of environment you find intriguing, then let's talk. Our team utilizes radio signals, such as Ultra-Wideband (UWB), to develop features and experiences like AirTag precision finding, Handoff, the Nearby Interaction API, and digital car keys. We are dedicated to innovating and creating new ways for our devices to be spatially aware of each other, enabling more intuitive interactions. We are a dynamic and collaborative group that supports Apple in a hands-on environment across interdisciplinary areas, including UWB, WiFi, Bluetooth localization, inertial fusion, network adjustment, and AI/ML. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Estimation Scientist with a computer science, electrical engineering, or geomatics engineering background to help craft the next generation of spatial awareness experiences leveraging Apple’s technologies.

Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative estimation scientist who understands location technologies. This position is passionate about developing, prototyping, and flawlessly executing technologies to enable relative location and spatial awareness experiences, including the iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac, and more. You will work with a fast-growing group of world-class engineers and scientists to tackle some of the most exciting problems in relative location and spatial awareness.
