Beats is looking for a Packaging Production Designer. This position will work cross-functionally with product marketing, engineering & suppliers to create the packaging designs & files for all commercial Beats products. This role will be responsible for creating visual designs and mechanical files for the Beats packaging portfolio.

Description

The Packaging Production Designer role is a full-time position with a hybrid of in-office days for collaboration and remote days for focused execution. Business hours are generally standard but may require occasional evenings or weekends to support. - Produce and oversee mechanical files for all commercial packaging - Work cross-functionally across product marketing, digital, translations, legal, engineering & operations - Operate as the final checkpoint to ensure files are accurate and meet business requirements prior to production handoff - Drive creative development and design execution across the portfolio - Develop digital design assets for programs within brand guidelines and manufacturing capabilities - Create high-fidelity mockups and 3D renderings of packaging components - Collaborate with product marketing team to create concepts which meet consumer and business goals - Design internal and external facing pitch decks and presentations for partner and leadership review - Research and stay up to date on current design and competitor trends - Design and develop tech-packs for soft goods components - Go on-site to local vendors for press-checks to ensure file & color accuracy - Source suppliers and vendors to drive innovation in packaging materials - Work directly with factories overseas to develop packaging and soft goods

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years CPG packaging design experience
  • Experience working within culturally leading brand(s)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Graphic packaging design background required
  • Demonstrated expertise designing within the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Well-versed in packaging production and pre-press experience
  • Highly adaptive, able to identify issues and proactively problem solve.

  • Drive execution, foster innovation and collaborate well with others.
  • Ability to maintain momentum on projects with excellent attention to detail from inception to completion.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects within a fast-paced environment and change priorities rapidly as required by the business. Calm under pressure while exuding competence with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Keen eye for typography, layout & color.
  • Passion for a brand that moves fast and shapes culture.
