The CoreOS Asia team within Apple’s CoreOS organization seeks a logical thinking software engineer with exceptional communication skills to collaborate on the design and triage of genuine Apple repair parts for our next-generation devices under rapid product iteration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to Apple’s product development and shipping. Description

Your primary responsibilities will be to design and implement a sustainable solution for the manufacturing of Apple repair parts for iPad and Mac products. This role requires frequent collaboration with cross-functional teams, including platform architecture, CoreOS, AppleCare, OPS, to determine the optimal solution across various aspects. - Collaborate across organizational boundaries in the early stages to comprehend the requirements and design the manufacturing process. Provide the necessary software implementation support. - Identify and resolve software-related issues encountered within the factory and customer environments relating to repair components. - Prioritize security and performance, enabling key features while protecting privacy and preventing fraud. - Engaging in technology development will provide you with the opportunity to significantly influence the implementation and quality of Apple’s next-generation products. - Up to 10-20% travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in computer science, electronic engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in solution design, involving collaboration with multiple teams throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, from conception to deployment.
  • Proficient in conducting thorough research and analysis of evidence to identify potential solutions and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Object-C, or Swift.
  • Proven experience in software issue debugging
  • Solid understanding of operating system concepts with related courses training or projects experiences.
  • Well manage time and resource effectively to keep project on track
  • Fluent in both oral and written English

  • 2+ years' work experience as a system or embedded software engineer

  • Proven ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, demonstrating adaptability and comfort in various settings.
  • Proficiency in developing and debugging software issues related to embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware platforms and processor architectures.
  • Proficiency in operating system design and systems programming principles.
