The strategy team within Marcom is seeking a senior strategist to shape next generation in-store retail experiences, in collaboration with some of the best design and marketing talent in the world!
Description
You will be joining a team of strategists within Marcom aimed at delivering customer-centric, innovative experiences across online and offline environments. This role will be focused specifically on the in-store environment; helping to drive innovation in Apple’s footprint of Retail stores around the world.
In it, you will own the translation of business objectives into opportunity identification, strategic briefs, customer journeys, and elevated experiences, in collaboration with our Retail and Interactive design teams. You will find opportunities to reach different audiences, drive new interest, and help people experience Apple’s products in new and exciting ways.
You will build relationships within our Retail commercial function, and partner with cross-functional team members to inspire change, representing your work at the highest levels of the company.
This role requires radical simplification; an ability to articulate and drive the right approach when many strategies are possible; and a deep understanding of the kinds of strategy that led to truly magical experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working in experience strategy, with in-house experience preferable
- Samples of creative briefs or case study samples required

- Deep Retail experience: proven track record in delivery of strategies that shape in-store environments
- Equally capable of driving innovation in real world and online environments, and articulating omnichannel journeys
- Ability to work with large data sets to see opportunities, challenges and break points in the customer journey, and customization opportunities
- Experience in conducting user research, and synthesizing insights in service of more seamless, delightful experiences
- A creative and imaginative problem solver; ability to not just optimize, but innovate, to keep Apple’s Retail presence constantly ahead
- Confident in establishment of agile workflows
- Comfort with fast iteration: testing, learning, and responding quickly to new information
- Track record of leading strategic conversations with a wide range of people in different disciplines, including business leads and and creative partners
- Skilled in prioritizing multiple, complex, concurrent projects
- Extraordinary writing skills, visual story-telling skills, presentation skills, and attention to detail
- A passion for technology along with a critical point of view on its impact on people’s lives.
- A born collaborator, able to thrive in ambiguity
