We are searching for a dedicated engineer with 10+/- years of experience to join our exciting team of innovators. In this role, you will be a key member of the system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.

Description

- Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms. - Conducting innovative design for advanced demodulation and channel coding methods with focus intellectual property development. - Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable RTL development. - Designing baseband algorithms for cellular modems, with emphasis on channel coding, including emerging trends in machine learning and advanced demodulation and channel coding methods. - Collaborate with hardware digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area-efficient implementation. - Conducting simulations in C/C++/MATLAB and optimizing algorithms for mobile devices. - Supporting commercialization and collaborating with other SW/HW engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and 3+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • Worked as part of SoC or modem team.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, and coding theory).
  • Strong background in wireless communications research preferably with information-theoretic background and coding theory.
  • Deep-knowledge of communication system theory, estimation theory, forward-error correction (FEC), machine learning models for communications.
  • Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5G-NR, 4G-LTE.
  • Experience with Matlab/C, design flow, algorithm development, link-level simulation (floating-point and fixed-point.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science plus 5 years of experience is preferred.
