Role Number:200587059
Wireless technologies are evolving with challenges from complex use cases to a busier environment that demand better and better radio system and PHY performance. In this leadership role, you will leverage your experience to manage a growing team to complete physical layer system bringup, integration and feature verification on state-of-the-art wireless SoC products at the center of a silicon design group from conception to production.

Description

In this management role you will build and manage a team responsible for pre- and post-silicon bringup, integration, and tuning of a wireless SoC. You will hire, mentor, and provide feedback to build a world class team that functions effectively in our high performance environment. Your team will develop state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms such as impairment mitigation, coexistence, interference mitigation, AGC and more. This will include the design and implementation of calibration algorithms for golden reference, real time operation and factory production of the wireless system. Your team, in conjunction with other domain experts, will complete the pre & post silicon bringup, validation of phy blocks, and tuning of algorithms and parameters to optimize system performance on emulation, simulation and silicon to achieve leading real world performance. To do this your team will develop and maintain a Python / Matlab based simulation, bringup, integration, and debug environment that controls the SoC, implements reference algorithms, tunes key parameters, and supports deep debug of silicon issues. You will have worked in these areas so that you can provide technical leadership to your team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS and a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience.
  • Wireless industry experience in algorithm design and system integration, bringing up and productization of wireless communication systems.
  • Experience in a management or lead position.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
