The Applications team is looking for a technical contributor to drive and deliver test automation systems and tooling that can scale across teams and feature sets at continuous integration speeds. You’ll be joining a highly skilled team of engineers who collaborate internally and cross-organizationally, bridging disciplines in order to construct innovative solutions.
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, maintaining, and executing test cases with minimal direction, based on specification documents and access to databases. Your ability to stand up and execute a wide breadth of tests with scripts and tools will be paramount. Your ability to report bugs with impeccable isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. You will be required to juggle a wide variety of deliverables that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risk effectively and systematically. Your ongoing curiosity and commitment to self-education in the field of well-being as well as new testing techniques is what will set you apart. You will be working closely with other team members to help coordinate cross-functional test efforts. You will be in continual dialogue with Engineering and Design as products evolve, and you will need to have empathy for users so you can effectively advocate on their behalf. The ability to streamline processes for data collection and systematically parse large data sets will be a huge plus. You will also ensure the successful delivery of a quality product by performing ad-hoc and structured tests.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of industry experience performing tools and automation engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, engineering, or a similar academic field.
- Proficient in one or more compiled languages: e.g. Swift, Objective-C, Java, C++.
- Proficient in one or more scripting languages (system automations / web development): e.g. Python, Go, Scala, JavaScript, Bash.
- Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit, XCTest, XCUI.
- Familiar with SDLC practices (Agile vs. Waterfall, SCM, issue tracking).
- Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities for technical improvement.
- Comfortable with *nix commands and shell scripting environments.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams.

- Experience bringing a software project from technical spec to production.
- Background in mental and physical health-related fields.
- Experience with DevOps (CI, CD, automation strategies, etc.).
- Data Science and ML expertise.
