As Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You will work directly with business and engineering teams to design innovative privacy solutions for products as well as across the legal department on Apple activities and regulatory issues.
Description
You will be responsible for advising and providing support on privacy related topics for Apple’s various products and services and working alongside legal, engineering and business teams. This role will be on the Privacy Legal team that supports teams working on Apple’s AIML, Home, and Vision Pro efforts, and more. It will report through the Privacy Legal team’s product counseling group and will work closely with our privacy policy colleagues in helping advise the business and engineering teams on cutting-edge privacy issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep understanding of general privacy laws, regulations, requirements and industry best practices.
- Advising the business on legal, regulatory, and business standards.
- Supporting and monitoring a privacy program, as needed, to ensure that technology and business processes meet applicable legal requirements.
- Coordinating internal and external investigations, compliance reviews and monitoring activities.
- Identifying and communicating potential risks areas with leadership.
- Staying informed of and properly communicating any changes to or developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, and regulatory and other guidance and standards.
- Deep understanding of US state and federal sector-specific privacy laws.
- Experience quickly issue-spotting, analyzing, and clearly communicating privacy advice on complex legal issues.
- Strong analytical capability with attention to detail.
- 4+ years of privacy experience as an associate at a premier law firm or business.
- JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar

- Ability to partner at all levels of the organization
- Excellent academic credentials
