We are implementing a world class Master Data Management system at Apple and are looking for a top-tier MDM Engineer who will play a meaningful role in managing, designing, and implementing data management solutions that ensure the reliability of the organization’s master data across multiple domains. Apple’s Partner Solution & Technology group is seeking a highly skilled engineer with expertise in MDM product preferably STIBO STEP, to maintain our enterprise MDM solutions. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of master data concepts, data modeling, and data integration principles, along with experience in implementing and supporting MDM in a sophisticated data landscape.

Description

Key responsibilities will include: - Collaborate with business partners to understand data requirements and translate them into effective MDM solutions - Design, develop, and implement MDM solutions using STIBO STEP to lead various domains (e.g., organization, location, contact, etc.) including data migration, testing, and deployment - Integrate the Stibo STEP MDM system with other enterprise applications and data sources using APIs, ETL, and other integration methods - Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by implementing data quality rules, validation checks, and cleansing processes - Lead data pipeline to bring standardized data from upstream source systems and publish downstream to and from STIBO STEP - Work with data stewards and business users to define and implement workflows, data quality standards and participate in committees and initiatives - Provide ongoing support and maintenance for STIBO STEP solutions, including fixing and issue resolution, and also provide technical mentorship and support to data stewards, analysts, and other stakeholders involved in activities - Manage and maintain the performance, availability, and scalability of the STIBO MDM platform, identifying and addressing any issues as they arise and recommend improvements or enhancements to the Stibo STEP implementation - Stay ahead of with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in MDM and STIBO systems to continuously improve data management capabilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management
  • 3+ years of strong experience with STIBO STEP (or similar other products), including design, development, and implementation
  • Experience with data quality and governance tools such as Informatica (other tool experience can also be considered)
  • Deep SQL expertise, data modeling and experience with data governance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Self-starter, able to handle ambiguity, identify risks, troubleshoot, and find the right people and tools to get the job done
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrate an understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python and Java
  • Experience in enterprise-ready cloud data warehousing platforms like Snowflake is highly valued
  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical analysis
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Certifications in data governance or master data management domain
