Do you love taking on big challenges that require exceptionally creative solutions? Do you deeply understand how an incredible camera experience should work? At Apple, the Camera Architecture team is responsible for research, design, and specifications of camera hardwares in all future Apple products with cameras. The team is seeking an imaging scientist/engineer with responsibilities for supporting future camera simulation.

Description

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for simulating camera systems based on simulated or measured characteristics of different camera components. The team closely collaborates with cross-functional teams to define hardware design specifications and key performance metrics. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about modeling the real world based upon physical principles and adapting new skills in different fields to foresee user experience with cameras that might not even exist.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Imaging Science, Optics, or related fields
  • Experience in signal processing, imaging science, and statistics
  • Experience working with Matlab and Python

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS/Ph.D in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Imaging Science, Optics, or related fields
  • 3+ year experience in related fields
  • Experience in computer vision
  • Experience in optics
  • Knowledge in sensor technology
  • Knowledge in ISP algorithms
  • Hands-on in GPU programming and C++
  • Great communication skill when working with cross-functional teams
