Apple’s Channel Sales team in Greater China is responsible for the development and implementation of all indirect sales efforts for Apple’s full product offerings in China, HK, and Taiwan. To continue growing our B2B business in China, we’re looking for a data scientist to join our team in Beijing.
An expert in advanced analytics, you are passionate about turning data into impactful insights, and driving creative data science solutions. You are skilled at creating analytical models and interactive visualizations. You are a motivated self-starter, comfortable navigating through ambiguity to evaluate complex data, analyze data from multiple angles, and build analytical workflows to deliver findings that directly impact the business.

You have outstanding communication skills, proven data science and advanced analytics capabilities, strong business acumen, and an innate drive to deliver results
Wrangle and analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and perform feature engineering; organize data assets for the B2B sales team
Evaluate business needs through in-depth conversations with experienced account managers and planners to understand the account development strategy, incentive programs, and sales planning process; apply data science for insights
Develop custom models, algorithms, and interactive visualizations to deliver sales insights
Present key findings to leadership to evaluate business impact, in non-technical terms
Exhibit excellent time management and prioritization skills, and be able to handle numerous projects at a time
Leverage AI technologies to optimize personal workflow efficiency and help colleagues with a non-technical background adopt AI tools
- Bachelorʼs degree or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or related areas
- Experience in modeling and solving business problems using data science, machine learning and analytics, including statistical data analysis and A/B testing
- Strong programming skills, including data-querying skills (SQL) and experience with a scripting language for data processing and development (Python)
- Highly skilled in Keynote, Tableau, and Excel
- Experienced in the sales, consulting or technology industries
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Professional proficiency in English & Mandarin Chinese
- Proven track record to get things done, experience in delivering end-to-end projects, and driving excellent user experience
- High intellectual curiosity to learn and understand business needs
- Meticulous attention to detail, data integrity, and data wrangling
- Passionate about understanding and solving problems, drawing insights and hidden patterns from data, visualization and data storytelling
- Ability to articulate complex AI concepts in business terms, know how to tell a story to highlight key insights, and present analysis effectively to key partners
- Excellent social skills to collaborate with cross-functional partners to share knowledge, communicate findings, and integrate feedback
- A real passion for innovation and a willingness to constantly challenge the status quo
