As part of the Apple Services Finance team, you will be an integral member of the executive team managing Platoon, an artist services, A&R, and music distribution company owned by Apple Inc.
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on finance leader to oversee the financial operations of our growing label. As a key member of the executive team, you will lead financial operations while supporting business strategy and ensuring fiscal responsibility. This is a unique opportunity for a finance leader with a passion for music and a desire to shape the future of the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the Platoon financial strategy aligned with its growth goals.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate artist investments, marketing ROI, and new business initiatives.
- Oversee royalty accounting, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to artists, producers, and partners.
- Collaborate with legal and business affairs teams on contract negotiations and financial terms.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, music licensing laws, and industry reporting standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage financial risk.
- Strong understanding of music industry economics, including royalties, publishing, and licensing.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader, group financial controller, preferably in the music, entertainment, or media industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Finance Qualification or MBA preferred
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and entrepreneurial environment.
