Apple Media Products Business Planning and Partnership Manager

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven individual to build and lead Apple’s first party service businesses. In this role, you will illustrate our business strategy for Apple Arcade, Apple Books and Apple Podcasts focusing on business growth and customer experience, and orchestrate cross-functional execution from top to bottom.
You will also drive cultivating partnerships for each service with developers and publishers, and advocate the unique industry opportunities where Apple can uniquely play a part.
This is a rare opportunity to lead multiple lines of businesses at one of the fastest-growing segments of Apple’s business while collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team, including Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, Operations and Data Science/Analytic team.
This role will support Apple’s first party services focusing Apple Arcade, Apple Podcasts and Apple Books, and is expected to:
- Build and maintain strong relationship with key partners in respective industries representing Apple and Apple’s service business
- Own and execute on multi-year forward thinking strategies that drive growth of the business
- Identify and deliver new business development and partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with a broad range of teams including Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, Operations and Data Science/Analytic team, which some of those are in different timezones
- Be a vital and impactful member of the team, and every day will be different, challenging yet exciting!
- Excitement and passion for entertainment contents (Video games, Podcasts, Books)
- Self-starter, agile mindset and an ability to deal with complex and dynamic environment
- Solid relationship and account management abilities with both internal and external partners
- Analytic savvy - The natural ability to translate data into insights, and develop narratives around
- Expertise in leading growth and customer engagement efforts for subscription services
- Passion in entertainment content and industry - our product is to deliver fun, unique, quality experience to our customers
- A desire to get to the essence of subjective matter
- Excellence in communication in Japanese and English
- 5-10 years of business development, partnership management experience in the digital entertainment industry
- A deeper understanding of digital entertainment trends and its’ influence in Japanese market
- Attention to the details and excellent project management skills running schedules, deliverables, cross-functional responsibilities
- Strong business acumen, high intellectual curiosity, and passion for Apple’s products, services, and mission.
- Knowledge and partner relationship management experience in relevant industries (Podcasts, Books, Video Gaming) is a plus
- Experience in large scale platform management is a plus
- Knowledge and passion with Manga/Anime culture and industry is a plus
- Experience/knowledge on Japanese IP characters business is a plus
