Global Security Manager, Executive Protection
This candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Executive Protection Specialists tasked with performing all aspects of protective operations domestically and outside the United States. This person must be able to lead and operate within a small team environment and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated individuals and assets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading teams in the protective operations space, providing discrete protective services, maintaining strict confidentiality, and must possess seasoned communication skills. This is an in-office role and will require domestic and international travel.
- Lead day to day executive security operations.
- Lead, mentor, and grow an established team of Executive Protection professionals.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with and influence all levels of leadership.
- Build and foster relationships with key business units, senior executives, and their support teams.
- Coordinate regularly with cross-functional partners, internal business units, and various service providers and agencies.
- Coordinate security related duties including, but not limited to executive protection, secure transportation, safety/emergency planning, risk assessments, special event planning, etc.
- Prioritizes strategies through a holistic approach to security to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risk.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing discrete executive protection services.
- Skilled in being able to quickly collect, analyze, and disseminate information in a timely manner.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and often times in ambiguous environments. Calm under pressure.
- Travel frequently, often on short notice, including globally.
- Regularly conducts advance operations and develops, implements, and audits internally/externally developed security plans.
- Available on-call for emergencies and must be adaptable to constantly changing schedules which may include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work with highly confidential information.
- Other duties as required.
- A minimum of 10+ years professional experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military special operations is required. At least 3 years of corporate EP leadership experience is required. Tech sector leadership experience is highly desired.
- Must understand and have demonstrated experience in protection concepts to include protective intelligence, secure transportation, contingency planning, counter surveillance, and have experience in international and domestic travel.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative abilities, and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of physical security systems to include, but not limited to intrusion detection systems, CCTV, and other security related software/hardware. Technologically savvy.
- Must have exceptional organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Must be in good physical condition and capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be capable of hiking/backpacking for several miles at a time in austere environments.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Should have strong computer skills and be proficient in the development and presentation of Keynote presentations.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and understand security concepts and theories. Adept at identifying and managing vendors for concurrent projects globally.
- Basic medical training preferred. Advanced medical training and certifications are a plus.
