Apple’s Global Retail Marketing group is looking for a Digital Platforms Lead to shape, plan, execute, and manage the digital platforms for an exciting new team called Today at Apple. Today at Apple offers hands-on, educational sessions across all Apple stores ranging in topics from photo and video to art and design, music, coding, and more. The digital platforms team brings to life these creative offerings by developing engaging web, mobile and app experiences. Our ideal candidate has a consistent track record of building, championing and shipping products. You will help craft the Today at Apple platform experiences strategically, as well as lead the execution through launch by handling the planning, feature definition and delivery of multiple work streams. This role will lead and inspire a small but growing platforms team overseeing 2-3 direct reports. We’re seeking someone who puts the need of the consumer first, can make sharp and logical product decisions, and is a collaborative and supportive leader. You are strategic, highly-organized, attentive to details, can influence up, down and laterally. You have an incredible ability to multi-task large projects, can prioritize competing product needs across teams, and guide and meet launch schedules and deliverables. You should be excited by and grasp the big picture but you can also follow the details of complex systems and jump into the details to drive work forward. This role is highly cross-functional and partners closely with creative and technical teams. Key Qualifications

  • 9-12 years managing a digital platforms product team
  • Consistent record of leading, creating and launching products; strong understanding of product strategy, product marketing, and/or product management, as well as UX and platform design
  • Ability to flex seamlessly between strategy and tactical execution; creative and imaginative while also analytical, technical, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills; ability to develop trust quickly with partners, especially technical and creative teams; ability to prioritize and gain consensus around a recommendation
  • Inspiring and visionary manager who values team unity, collaboration, trust, and mentorship
  • Understanding of core web technologies, interactive systems, publishing workflows, and content management systems is desirable
  • Self-starter who can independently drive clarity and momentum from ambiguity
  • Passionate, curious, and interested in learning, culture, art and technology a plus
  • Content strategy and content development experience a plus

Description

Lead daily platform oversight and varying levels of execution across multiple tracks of work for web, mobile and app projects Be the consumer, business and product advocate throughout entire process of conception, creation, development, testing, and launch of platforms and features Head up a dedicated product team; mentor direct reports and implement processes to continually optimize the team’s ways of working. Lead and support core project components: briefs, decks, project plans, major issue-tracking, weekly status reports for leadership, and more Forge organizational consensus on approach and execution of platforms; skillfully reconcile multiple priorities and objectives; help prioritize feature requests as needed Develop strong cross-functional relationships with product management, design, marketing, engineering, legal, and others to create extraordinary solutions

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree preferred
