We are a global team of engineers who operate the diverse technology, protocol and vendor stack that interconnects all facets of Apple’s network at a scale that is second to none. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join a dynamic and exciting team within Apple’s Global Network Services. You will be skilled in cross-organizational collaboration, liaising with internal teams and external service providers to operate and maintain the network infrastructure. You will need to develop and maintain clear documentation and procedures associated with operations and known issues. This position provides the opportunity to operate a cutting-edge, worldwide, multi-vendor network.

Description

In this fast paced role, you will provide front line support for Apple’s Data Center network to address a wide variety of business challenges. You will be comfortable in a dynamic environment with the ability to multi-task and provide operational support to various businesses within Apple. This position requires a collaborative teammate who will enjoy working with others around the globe. Your responsibilities will include working on tickets and break fixes, maintaining and upgrading existing networks to current standards, and sustaining operations, as well as contributing to technical and procedural documentation. In this role you will obsess over minute details and drive operational excellence in every aspect of your work to deliver the best possible customer experience. In addition to the required technical networking skills, this position will also draw on strong interpersonal skills and an individual who enjoys the dynamic nature of Apple’s environment. Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in network troubleshooting
  • Extraordinary interpersonal communications and customer-service skills
  • Experience evaluating and managing outages to business critical infrastructure
  • Ability to maintain composure and customer-service focus in stressful and ambiguous situations
  • Ability to coordinate and troubleshoot with internal and external partner teams
  • Strong understanding of IPv4 and IPv6
  • Upstanding of BGP and OSPF routing, L2 switching technologies and ACL management
  • Experience with Cisco, Arista, Juniper or other vendors
  • Proficiency with Linux or other versions of UNIX
  • Knowledge of configuration management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Salt, Chef and Python, Go, etc
  • Experience working in large scale environments and with ITIL incident and problem management

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

- B.Sc. degree or equivalent experience - Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent experience
