The Product, Design & Marketing team supports Apple Services broadly and shapes user experiences across all our products. We focus on how people consume, create and connect across all our applications. We are currently seeking a Sr. Strategist. You will lead brief and execution around brand platforms and some content features. This role will cover multiple lines of business within Apple Services and will be responsible for crafting strategies that empower design teams to make the best products and best position them to users. It requires an ability to spot and articulate the right approach when many strategies are possible; and a deep understanding of the many modern media contexts in which our products live. Your ideas and vision can shape the way people consume and create media through our products, what those products look and feel like, and how they’re used by millions of people across the world.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years proven track record in brand strategy, interactive design, media, and/or consumer applications
  • Expertise and understanding of subscription services, media verticals and business models
  • Equally comfortable translating business and experience objectives or inputs into nuanced creative strategies that lead to outstanding design work
  • Strength in leading strategic conversations with a wide range of people in different teams, including business leads, media experts, and creative partners and impacting cross-functional decision making
  • Extraordinary writing, story-telling, and presentation skills and the ability and desire to grow those skills in others
  • A passion for technology with a critical point of view on its impact on people’s lives
  • A born collaborator, able to thrive in ambiguity
  • Enjoys forging relationships across a large organization and aligning teams around a vision
  • Passion for both the leading and application of research as well as the utility and value of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Channel planning, consumer research experience a plus

Description

In the Sr. Strategist role, you will help design the future across our services, blending cultural, behavioral and technological insights to fuel ideation across projects. You will craft briefs to inspire meaningful work that evolves the experience our users have with our services. You will touch innovation projects on a daily basis. Your work will be integral in where the product will be years from now - while also helping to build a growing strategy discipline. You will partner with stellar creators of all types (writers, producers, designers, motion artists, etc...) to do the best work of your life. Excellent communication and partnership are essential to our success. Flexibility will be key as you will help establish new paradigms and ways of working. The team is dynamic, rooted in Apple culture and constantly evolving. You will contribute greatly to the genesis and prioritization of learning roadmaps, establishing and representing fruitful territories to explore. You will tell compelling stories about the work internally and will help to champion and manage ideas as they come to life.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in delivering strategic ideas across digital, social or static form factors.
  • 7+ years relevant design or creative leadership experience required; bonus for experience with theatrical design firms, publishing, magazines, or content creation/delivery
  • Clear and concise communication and organization skills
  • Passionate about the Apple brand and relentless in preserving its authenticity
