Greater China Customer Engagement & Integrated Marketing Lead

The worldwide Apple Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail’s customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple’s products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values.
We are seeking an experienced Marketing leader to drive worldwide marketing initiatives with regional relevance and build customer engagement strategies that drive new customer interest and deepen engagement with our existing customers.
In this role you will create marketing and programming strategies and campaign execution that align with business goals and enhance the customer experience for Greater China.
- Be the expert on omni-channel customer engagement and marketing trends and innovations in the retail sector and across countries within region. Apply this knowledge to drive critical initiatives, to innovate and deliver impactful and relevant experiences. Provide cross-functional Retail leadership and teams with actionable insights and recommendations based on industry trends and business performance.
- Ensure that strategies are effectively implemented and aligned with geography and WW business goals. Provide insights to produce successful campaigns, inspire evolution, and improve efficiency. Measure effectiveness and make recommendations for campaign optimizations.
- Engage appropriate channels across Apple, including regional services and product teams (Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple EDU, App Store and Apple Support), regional communications, digital marketing and regional PR to amplify and drive success for customer engagement and marketing initiatives. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation across departments within Global Retail Support and across Apple. Track record of aligning priorities, managing multiple work streams, and fostering collaboration and on-going communication across global teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with geography cross-functional leaders and key worldwide partners. Advocate for necessary resources and support for customer engagement and marketing initiatives.
- Lead by example in promoting inclusion and diversity within the team. Ensure these values are integrated into all programs and initiatives, and actively participate in diversity and inclusion communities.
- 10+ years in consumer marketing with global brands within a multi-channel environment.
- 8+ years building, developing, and leading high-performing GC and or APAC based marketing teams and at least 3+ including senior level individual contributors.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- 15+ years of experience in GC and APAC region in strategic marketing across the Retail sector.
- Proven track record of handling complex/multi-faceted projects, delivering on key metrics to drive impact for the company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to strike the right balance in all situations, from cross-functional working groups to executive presentations.
- Strong analytical skills, able to identify and act upon opportunities for campaign improvement and impact.
- Strategically astute, with a creative approach to solving problems and creating memorable customer experiences and campaigns.
- Deep understanding of geography dynamics, consumer behaviours and competitive marketing landscapes. Able to use these insights to make informed, strategic decisions, anticipate market trends and pivot strategies as needed.
- Clear ability to navigate a matrixes organisation and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Experience working across geography and WW teams with successful outcomes for both regional and WW goals.
