Apple are looking for a highly-motivated Software DevOps Engineer to help develop, deploy and monitor our next generation of wireless products and services. This position requires experience with excellent production-level software engineering and operations skills, and familiarity with the general concepts related to radio frequency-based communications systems. You will work in a small team and will engage with other engineering disciplines to deliver the future of high-performance, best-in-class wireless communications.
Key Qualifications
- Strong DevOps experience in running a large-scale networked system with containerisation, careful deployment strategies and coordination with partners
- Solid programming skills in Python
- Emphasis on software development as part of critical infrastructure: testing, validation, CI/CD, metrics and monitoring
- Ability to produce high-quality, production-ready software components to be used in a distributed system
- Familiarity with basic principals in a wireless communications system
- Excellent analytical skills to measure performance and debug issues across system boundaries
- Be able to iterate quickly during prototyping, and know how to productionalise such prototypes by making them robust
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently managing relationships across functional areas
- Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve challenging problems in innovative ways
- Laser-focused on the smallest details that will deliver the best possible customer experience
Description
You will build and run an Apple service that millions of customers use every day. You’ll also build and run the infrastructure that powers those services.
