Description
Employee experience is at the forefront of what we do on the Benefits team. In this role, you will need to lead the operations of all benefits programs in the defined region(s), You will also support design and implementation of benefit programs and manage a team of managers and specialists.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Manage a team of 4 analysts
- Understand and aligning the needs of the business with stakeholders, market trends, and legal requirements
- Facilitate open dialogue across partners inside and outside of Apple to achieve outsized results
- Develop and coach the team for outstanding performance and career growth
SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TEAM INCLUDE:
- Plan and supervise recurring events
- Define system requirements and perform system testing; create or update PeopleWeb content
- Develop messaging goals for communications, develop/review communications and training material, and deliver communications/trainings to employees, etc.
- Process enrollment, life event or dependent changes, and terminations
- Complete audit and compliance reports (e.g. statutory forms and reports, required annual forms, etc.)
- Perform annual SOX review and other compliance matters; monitor regulatory or compliance changes
- Special projects supporting business initiatives
- Manage transition from old to new plans including plan termination and ongoing administration
- Develop and deliver communications materials to acquired employees
- Oversee ongoing external vendor activities
- Monitor processes for purchase orders or goods receipts
- Monitor SLAs, PGs and employee escalations to measure vendor performance
- Review and approve large invoices and oversee payments to vendors
- Run and send data files and recurring reporting to vendors
- Conduct ongoing vendor meetings and RFPs for contract renewals (quarterly review meetings, executive meetings, etc)
- Ensure vendor integration with other plans and internal partners (Wellness, People team, etc)
- Oversee ad hoc employee-level escalation and error resolution
- Investigate employee-level escalations for root-cause concerns, seek counsel and provide resolution
- Work with internal or external partners (Legal, Payroll, Compensation, IT, Vendors, etc.) to fix any issues
- Track errors and prepare compliance filings if required
- Report out on employee escalations and monitor trends
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience or equivalent; with 10+ years of in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in benefit program operations and broad knowledge of benefit program design and implementation
