The Display Hardware team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the development and validation across a variety of Apple products. You will be working on flat panel displays both at the component and system level, serving as a focal point between the system design team, the display EE team, display mechanical team, the supply base management team, and the display suppliers, managing all activities vital to deliver displays into final products from initial concept to production. Key Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting and shipping products in mass production
  • Excellent project management, communication and collaboration skills required
  • Exceptional Electrical Engineering background, experience in mixed signal EE design at either IC or PCB level
  • Ability to communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and cross functional teams
  • PCB & SMT manufacturing process, failure analysis, and design optimization to improve yield
  • Hands on lab experience including data acquisition, processing (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzers, E-Load)
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification and - manufacturing support
  • Mass production final assembly manufacturing process, build report generation, identification of major hitters, and FACA
  • Managing and Supporting 3rd party vendors
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • DC-DC power converter design & analysis
  • High Speed signaling, SI, and PCB routing
  • Scripting or automation skills, programming experience in python, Matlab or similar tools
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Cadence, Matlab or SPICE
  • FPGA/CPLD/MCU programming and design
  • Experience in display technology, such as LCD, LED, OLED, is a plus


• Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical and optical issues • Contributor as a partner in the overall system design and validation • Handle the display suppliers as the primary technical contact window • Design and capture PCB level schematic & layout for prototyping and test platforms • Lead electrical characterization / validation from prototype through mass production • Identify all open engineering issues and drive them to closure with efficiency to support project needs • Ensure display goals are met for engineering builds and initial mass production. Address issues from initial ramp and field returns related to displays and qualification of solutions • Perform the vital display testing and review test results from the display vendors, system OEMs, and multi-functional groups at Apple to ensure the performance specifications are met

Education & Experience

BSc/EE +4 years, MS/EE +3 years, or PHD
