The Places Program team builds features that help users discover places and engage with the world around them. Want to discover new restaurants in your area or where you’re visiting? We are a passionate and growth-minded Program Manager to help us achieve that goal on our Maps Places team. We re looking for an individual passionate about discovery, exploration, and user experience. Program Managers in Maps deliver the right feature at the right time. It’s a hands-on, cross-functional, and highly engaged role. A great PM is the beating heart of their team—driving alignment, clearing ambiguity, and pushing for quality every step of the way.

As a Program Manager on our team, you will:
- Lead delivery of customer-facing features across Apple platforms—from concept through launch—with a focus on improving exploration, discovery, and engagement in Apple Maps.
- Define scope, priorities, and success metrics while balancing technical feasibility with user value.
- Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, design, product, and data science.
- Evaluate user experiences critically—identifying what works and what needs refinement.
- Employ a solution-oriented approach to make informed decisions on trade-offs between usability, performance, and technical constraints.
- Communicate status, risks, and trade-offs clearly across teams and leadership.
- Contribute to roadmap development by identifying user needs, aligning goals, and influencing product direction.
- Represent your program with accountability and integrity across Apple’s internal teams.
- 3+ years of Program Management or Technical Program Management experience in consumer-facing products, with flexibility for strong candidates who bring relevant skills or domain experience.
- Demonstrated success shipping client applications and/or complementary web or backend services.
- Strong empathy for users and the ability to reason through product design trade-offs.
- Extraordinary communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs and drive alignment across stakeholders.
- Experience working in a dynamic, execution-driven environment.
- Technical background or hands-on experience with software development is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Maps, location-based services, or machine learning–informed features.
- Passion for product quality, user experience design, and attention to detail.
