Apple’s System Experience QA team is looking for a passionate results-oriented QA Engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills. The person in this role will work closely with Engineering, other QA and Automation Managers on delivering the highest quality experience to our many macOS customers. As a member of our wide-ranging group, you will have the outstanding opportunity to be part of testing one of our most iconic operating systems - macOS. From Notification Center interactions, Control Center, Dock and Mission Control to Sidecar and Universal Control, the team is responsible for many features that provide phenomenal system experience on the Mac!

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a software QA Engineer
  • Deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices
  • Demonstrate ability to own a complete functional area of a feature
  • Detail oriented, analytical & creative problem solver
  • Advanced proficiency with macOS or iOS or other operating systems such as Unix/Linux
  • Passionate about great customer experience, specially great UI experience
  • Comfortable working in a constantly evolving and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to automation/scripting


As a Quality Engineer you’ll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software. This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, creating test plans, bug reporting and triaging, identifying automation opportunities, and supporting design reviews. You’ll help us identify holes in the coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions. YOUR MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Develop, modify, and execute test strategies, plans, and programs Reporting, providing sign-offs & escalations of issues Ensuring that your test plans are up to date in a fast paced/changing environment Work with Automation team to come up with automation plan

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
