And to help make this happen, we write and deliver clear and concise technical documentation to third-party developers. That’s where you come in!

Key Qualifications

  • Experience with content management and strategy for technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate optimally with a broad group of people, including software developers, project managers, business stakeholders, and third-party partners.

  • Passion for quality, design, and user experience.

Description

As part of the team, you’ll help Apple Pay software developers deliver effective, easy-to-use technical documentation for both internal and external audiences — with a focus on the external. You’ll collaborate with them to create easy-to-understand API references, integration guides, message sequence diagrams, and everything in between. You’ll also help consolidate, organize, and improve existing documentation. Some of these documents conform to the OpenAPI Specification (OAS). And most of them are stored centrally in a secure and private GitHub environment. Therefore, knowledge of the standard and these technologies (or similar) is important. As the Documentation Manager, you’ll build out the Apple Pay technical writing team and help us define strategies for creating, maintaining, and delivering excellent documentation at scale. You’ll advocate for technical writers and empower them to do their life’s best work.
