The Front-End Methodology CAD engineer plays a major role in promoting a reliable work environment and ensuring that common methodology is followed through across the different RTL Designers and Verification engineers across the Hardware Technology teams.

Key Qualifications

  • We are looking for a strong engineer with experience in the following areas:
  • Experience in silicon / chip development industry
  • Good understanding of Front-End ASIC workflows
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Perl, Python
  • Experience with RTL analysis Tools & Methodologies, such as Lint/CDC/RDC and connectivity is a plus
  • Experience in FE infrastructure such as sanity, regression frameworks and IP release is a plus
  • Experience with RTL simulators is a plus
  • Proficiency with meeting with FE customers, defining and implementing system workflows
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Great teammate with strong written and verbal interpersonal skills, and a service and support mentality
  • Knowledge of different source control tools like perforce, Git is a plus
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • Collaborative, innovative, creative and problem solving attitude

Description

The position plays a key role in focusing and fostering on our North Star and making sure that our vision statement extends to all Design/DV teams: To create, monitor, and maintain high quality flows that enable Hardware Technology to produce chips that enable Apple's best products. The role also includes Becoming the bridge between Design/DV community and CAD to ensure the right flows are being used at the right time of the project milestone and proper sign-offs are followed through. Work towards automated solutions to achieve similar goal. Curating internal training materials and coordinating vendor trainings so that our Designer/DV engineers are well equipped to do their best job at Apple. Contribute in development within the Front-End Infrastructure space Support and guidance for our design engineers who need an engaged partner that will continuously strive to enable them to excel by providing an optimized working environment that suites their needs. You will be working with an energized and highly motivated CAD team that comprehensively supports Apple’s chip design efforts.

Education & Experience

Minimum requirements of BS + 10 years of industry experience
