Apple's IS&T team is seeking a Software Engineer based in Tokyo to develop tools for internal Collaboration and Productivity services. The role also requires Korean language support.

Description

We are hiring for a front line role, collaborating with our internal users and providing technology advocacy on how best to use and implement corporate systems and technologies. You’ll be joining a team of world-class engineers and interacting daily with teams that span across Apple’s business groups including operations, sales and engineering organizations. You will be developing tools for Collaboration and Productivity services, supporting end-user services on the Mac systems and security, as well as working with key business partners on deployment and maintenance of these services. Korean language skills are required. • Design, develop and maintain software enhancements and/or new tools using agile development methodologies • Leverage experience in programming languages and technologies to plan sprints, write code, and perform testing of applications. Development experience in PHP, AJAX, Angular, MongoDB or SQL is expected • Deploy mobile and desktop applications and take responsibility for code rollout to improve user productivity and process efficiency • Interact with users to define new use cases and/or refine existing solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new functionalities into these platforms • Complete project documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Experience in code versioning systems like Git or SVN is essential • Evaluate new services and technologies for continuous improvement, including technical assessments, proactive testing and engagement with third party vendors • Support iOS and macOS troubleshooting and training for internal users to improve work productivity • Support the readiness activities for production rollout of major macOS services. Knowledge and experience in macOS, iOS, Apache, LDAP, Unix, shell scripts and web server technologies is vital

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering
