Apple Japan is looking for a collaborative, highly organized professional for the position of EHS Safety Engineer to support the EHS manager in implementing EHS programs for our operations in Japan. Your proven ability to effectively interact and influence the internal customer is important. This position will be responsible for the full implementation of EHS programs at the operational level by closely communicating with the EHS manager.
- 5+ years of EHS experience - preferably at manufacturing sites
- In depth knowledge and experiences of chemical and mechanical safety engineering and risk assessment with deep understanding of national and local regulations and laws.
- A certified occupational health officer
- Highly self-motivated and self managing
- A dedicated, assertive, sense of urgency to problem
- Ability to run multiple high priority projects
- Excellent social and communication skills
- Fluency in Japanese and English
・Implement chemical/mechanical safety programs that drive compliance with corporate EHS goals and objectives ・Maintain the business operations in compliance with EHS-related national and local regulations and laws through the evaluation of R&D workplace environments, and chemical/mechanical processes with a focus on continuous improvement ・Provide hands-on EHS support to the business operation owners ・Organize and facilitate health committee meetings ・Assist EHS manager in communicating EHS program performance and status to management, as well as defining solutions that integrate corporate EHS policy into local business operations
